We have a new tradition that Sunday night is Fajita Night! We cook on the grill and make all the fixings (including homemade salsa) and it is so great. It is our favorite time of the week. Here is a shot of all the good stuff we have! Mmmm!

My new niece!
Welcome to Zoe Danielle Rives! She took her time getting here at first but when she decided it was time to come she came fast. Rachael started having contractions around 8:30 this morning, headed for the hosptial around 10 when then got worse, arrived at the hospital around 10:30 and out came Zoe 15 minutes later. She didn't wait for her dad, her grandma or anybody else to get there. She didn't even wait for her doctor, a different doctor had to catch her when she came out. My sister was tiny with this pregnancy but Zoe came out weighing 8.2 which is pretty good sized I think. She is just the cutiest little thing! Congrats to my little sister!

Little by little!!
We are working away around the place here doing little things to make it nicer. Since the weather has been so nice, most of the work we have been doing lately has been out doors. Here we took the area around the flag pole and removed all the old weeds and stuff and planted a few small plants and put down some rock. It looks pretty nice I think, I just hope the plants do okay, the wind blows pretty hard through that area.

Uniques Babies!
Some of you already know that I have started a new venture. I am starting a small company that will be internet based selling baby stuff I make. I love making baby stuff and it doesn't take long or cost much. This is not going to be anything big and I am going pretty slow but maybe in a couple of years it could be something steady. Right now I am just trying to figure out what I can make and how much it will cost to make it and all that good stuff. Hopefully in the next six months I will have an idea of what all I want to offer, prices and can build a web page. I am just taking things slow right now. The picture above is the diaper cake I made for my sister and it came out better than I thought it would. I need to try shipping one and see how it holds up and then I can decide if that will be one of things I try and offer. I don't have a lot of free time but it is something I enjoy. Of course, lately all my free time has been outside because the weather has been so great here and I have all my plants going and stuff!

Spring Time!
Well, it is finally feeling like spring here. Diamond has her summer clothes out already! (She really hates this outfit so I don't put it on her, but it is pretty funny!) It is warm and sunny and I am loving it. I have a bunch of seeds that I planted for a garden and they are all sprouting up and doing well (I will post a picture later). I was going to stick them in the ground but since this is my first garden I am going to try the container garden this year since it isn't so permanent and see how it goes and if all is well I might try something bigger or something in the ground next year. I love warm weather! We have been really busy lately. The weekend before last we went to Shannon's mom's for Easter and this past weekend I had to go to Liberty on Saturday and do a shower for my sister (Rachael), stop in Giddings on my way back for a B-day party for one of Shannon's cousin's kid, and on Sunday two of his Aunt and Uncles came over. This whole month is looking to be pretty full for us. Friday we are going to see Casting Crowns in concert with our class from church, Saturday after work he wants to go to some festival in Austin and the next weekend he is going to a mens conference with our church. Busy, busy, busy! I am not complaining though, we have lots of really great stuff going on and we are really blessed at what a great year we have had so far. If things could just keep going the way they are heading and maybe we could be pregnant before the end of the year this could turn out to be the best year ever for us! Well, I could probably just go on and on but I will stop for now! Later! ;-)
